I am actually starting to like this show.
I am only now watching it because it happens to come on between to shows I love (How I met your mother and Out of practice). I never wanted to watch it because the little punk kid drives me up the wall. But now that I forced myself to watch the last 3 or 4 episodes, It is growing on me. |

Good to hear, the show is way underappreciated. The problem is that it's a "guy" show, lots of raunchy humor. It's trying to replace Raymond, a family show, and I don't see it working out. But it's at least a big enough hit for CBS to maybe bump it back to 9:30.
But it's the only sitcom I watch right now, very sharp writing in an 80s style that incorporates a lot of ironic kind of humor. Jokes coming back at the end to haunt the characters. |

I dont like the kid in this show. In fact, I hate when sitcoms make kids out to be sarcastic, mean spirited, vulgar, no respect for adults. I know that is the way most kids are raised these days, but I hate that tv shows make it seem ok for kids to act that way.
Kids today have some really crappy role models. All the popular/funny kids on tv are disrespectfull and manipulative and never have to answer for their actions. In contrast, any kid charactor that is good in school and is a good kid is made out as a nerd/mommas boy etc. |

I don't think the kid on this show is either of those things. He asks the usual questions, likes to play video games and junk food. I don't think he's overly smart-mouthed or disrespectful. He just tends to repeat bad advice in front of his father that Sheen has doled out. He's quickly corrected that it's not acceptable behavior for adults to do/think that.
