"Just Another Pretty Face" what did you think of this episode. After re-watching it I though is was a great unique opportunity for Fred Gwynne to show his acting skills, and a very creative plot twist for the writers to invent. I wonder if it was difficult for Fred to play Herman without the makeup? I've read and heard interviews from other actors that sometimes they have trouble with a character they play, but when they get into makeup and costume, the character just comes out. Does anyone remember any comments from him about this episode.

Fred really didn't like playing Herman Munster. Being in the hot rubber suit 3 days a week, plus wearing thick makeup was no joy. But I did once hear that he did like doing Just Another Pretty Face because he was able to play a character, without the costume.

That's true. "Just Another Pretty Face" is perhaps my favorite episode of the
series. I have several episodes on video but am missing that one. But I don't
want to have to buy the whole Season 2 just to get it (cannot afford it right
now). Fred Gwynne, by the way, was a very talented man we lost much too
soon. He also wrote and illustrated some very clever and witty children's books. I found a couple of them on eBay. The seller told me her husband had a chance to meet Fred in person, while he was filming a movie and said that he was very professional and a really nice guy.
