It's just irritating to me. The Alice and Jeffersons themes are much better.

I agree. Very catchy and memorable theme song. When I watched the show in prime time I'd always sing along with the theme.

the theme song always reminded me of early ABBA, circa Waterloo, and I like ABBA, so I like the theme too

does anyone else agree the theme song sounds like ABBA? I remember when I first bought ABBA Gold and I heard Waterloo, there's one part in the song where I was "this sounds like the One Day At A Time theme"

I already have the ODAAT song on a TV Themes CD that I've owned for years. Then after seeing the show on DVD, I was always singing along whenever a new episode came on - especially the "la da da"s at the end.

Don't even get me started on the Alice theme song-LOL

As for One Day at a Time, it was a good theme song. there were 70's sitcoms with better theme songs, but it wasn't something I'd rather kill than listen to.
