Default "The Last Page" thoughts

I just got the season 3 DVD, and I just saw the epsiode "The Last Page", in which Reruns gives the gang a tour of ABC, and Reruns daydreams about being the star of other popular ABC 70's sitcoms, and the cast does parody sketches of other famous ABC sitcoms from that era.

I wish they did not have to do exclussive parodies of ABC shows, and did parodies of shows on other network.

They should have done parodies of All In The Family, The Jeffersons, Sanford And Son.

But the one show What's Happening!! is associated with, and should have impersinated was Good Times. I would love to have seen them pretend to be the Evans family, and see if anyone of them could do a J.J. impression.

Also, in the Three's Company parody, Fred Berry looked just like Bill Cosby in that sweeter. And Fred did a terriable Mork impression, he sounded more like a Conehead.

All those parodies was dumb. Shirley playing Mindy, Rerun Playing Mork, and Dwayne playing Chrissy-lol Very dumb.

Face it, it was plug for other ABC shows. Also it was another "desperate for a plot" episode.

Those parodies on those others shows wouldn't have worked because they were on other networks. It looked like ABC were promoting their own.

You make a good point because at the timer, all three of those shows-"Three's Company, Mork and Mindy and Happy Days were HITS on ABC

Rerun was a page at "ABC" so of course it would be ABC shows, lol. Imagine if they did a Charlie's Angels spoof--Shirley as Farrah!

I see your point, just like on Saturday Night Live when they did a Good Times spoof that took place after James died, eventhough most people agree with me, the show was so much better when John Amos was on the show.
