10/23 Ratings Review

FOX's (households: 9.2/14, #2; adults 18-49: 4.8, #2) coverage of "MLB Baseball: World Series, Game 2" (households: 9.2/14, #6; adults 18-49: 4.8, #5) wasn't enough to surpass ABC's (households: 10.2/16, #1; adults 18-49: 6.8, #1) juggernaut lineup on Sunday.

The Alphabet served up a new "America's Funniest Home Videos" (households: 5.4/9, #12; adults 18-49: 2.7, #10), a repeat of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (households: 7.7/12, #8; adults 18-49: 5.0, #4) and fresh installments of "Desperate Housewives" (households: 15.7/23, #1; adults 18-49: 10.9, #1) and "Grey's Anatomy" (households: 12.2/19, #T2; adults 18-49: 8.5, #2).
Extreme Makeover: HE hit a series low since its first season.

CBS (households: 8.7/13, #3; adults 18-49: 3.7, #3) then took the bronze with its mix of "NFL Overrun" (households: 12.2/21, #T2; adults 18-49: 6.2, #3), "60 Minutes" (households: 10.8/17, #4; adults 18-49: 4.4, #6), "Cold Case" (households: 9.5/14, #5; adults 18-49: 3.9, #7) and the 2002 feature "Enough" (households: 5.6/9, #11; adults 18-49: 2.3, #11).


Next up was NBC (households: 6.4/10, #4; adults 18-49: 2.6, #4) with its combination of "Dateline NBC" (households: 5.9/10, #10; adults 18-49: 2.0, #13), "The West Wing" (households: 5.1/8, #13; adults 18-49: 2.1, #12), "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (households: 6.8/10, #9; adults 18-49: 3.0, #9) and "Crossing Jordan" (households: 7.9/13, #7; adults 18-49: 3.5, #8).
West Wing is very low. Lower than last years average of American Dreams 18-49 which was 2.6.

Closing out the night then were repeats of "Reba" (households: 1.4/2, #17; adults 18-49: 0.7, #17), another "Reba" (households: 1.8/3, #15; adults 18-49: 0.9, #16), a new "Charmed" (households: 2.6/4, #14; adults 18-49: 1.8, #14) and a repeat of "Supernatural" (households: 1.5/2, #16; adults 18-49: 1.0, #15) on The WB (households: 1.9/3, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #5).

Supernatural was on par with Blue Collar TV before it was cancelled. My WB line would/should go:
7:00-Reba (Encores)
7:30-Living With Fran (new episodes)
8:00-Charmed
9:00-Supernatural (new episodes)

TUESDAYS
8:00-Gilmore Girls
9:00-Bedford Diaries(new series, is slated for midseason)

WEDNESDAYS (already mentioned that Related is moving to Mondays)
