Does anyone remember the UM segment about Steven Dearl Cox? He was a financier in Medford, Oregon who cheated investors out nearly $4 million in the early 1980s. He was profiled on UM in 1988, and was arrested not long afterwards. As mentioned in the link above (which also briefly mentions the fact that he was shown on UM), Cox has been arrested on new charges. He is now accused of grand theft, forgery, computer crime, and a parole violation. (Obviously, he was paroled from a jail sentence for the '80s case, which was presented on UM.) Looks to me that this leopard hasn't changed its spots. |

Actually the extortion swindle isn't actually the full segment but an update - I've never seen the full segment but from the update the segment looks pretty creepy.
