I thought The Sanford and Son Hawia episode was a 4 Part Episode.

Thank God only three parts. That "Hawaiian Connection" trilogy was gastly. The only funny part i thought when Fred kept asking about McGarret's hair.

"The Hawaiian Connection" was split into a three-part episode for syndication for TV Land and television stations throughout the U.S. It's a two-parter for the DVD release. This is the second time I've seen it since owning the DVD and it is fantastic!!! Part I is (48 minutes approx.) while part two is the half-hour (24 minutes). A promotional reference to "Western Airlines" is edited out for syndication and DVD releases since the airline no longer exists. I think it went bankrupt sometime in the 1980's. (Around 1987 or so).

I found a gallery dedicated to the history of Western Airlines and it is here.

do you know what it originaly aired as then. Was it like the DVD or what?

I actually enjoyed this episode, even though it was toward the end of Sanford & Son's run and you can tell they were probably running out of ideas. A lot of good laughs though.

Western was actually bought by Delta Airlines i think in 1980. Delta still flys some old 737's that were Western birds.

Without a doubt the worst episodes ever in the series. I mean the only ones that come close are the Grady show pilot and Sanford and Neice

What I remember was when S&S ran on NBC Daytime and later into syndication, they left in the promotional announcement for Western Airlines after parts 1 and 2 aired. When W.A. went under, the promotional spot was later cut and on the sixth season DVD set as well. But on the credits, the credit for W.A. is shown and I believe for Royal Hawaiian Hotel where the cast stayed.

Sanford and Niece was pretty corny and pretty bad at that. I hated it when they played that stupid music everytime when Fred saw his niece. He looked like such a fool.

Sanford and Niece is one of my favorite episodes. I love the ending, "It may be today, but I'll be damned if it will be tomorrow!" The Hawaiian Connection blew chunks and wasn't funny at all, it is a travesty to say Sanford and Niece fits in the same category!

Im not picking on you but you liked Sanford & Neice Why? Most S&S fans dont
