According to the Unofficial Murder She Wrote Casebook, when she agreed to come back for the sixth season it was $175,000 per episode or close to $4 million for the season. The seventh season was $350,000 per episode. She then became executive producer and she got $400,00 per episode for the ninth season. The author says that the residuals for the first six seasons would gross around $6 million so you can imagine what 12 seasons would be and that was before DVD's. The book also mentioned a very grueling 12-hr per day, 7 day shooting schedule the first year and by the eighth year it had "relaxed" to four 12-hr days.

I thought that I had read that the first season started at $104,000 per episode and then increased gradually from there each year, but I couldn't find the exact figure when I went back and looked it up again so I didn't want to be quoted on that.
