Post the college years

I just caught episodes of Saved By The Bell: The College Years on TBS Friday morning. Apparently, they show back-to-back episodes at 7 and 7:30 am ET every Friday! This suprises me, because it was only around for 1 season, so there really can't be more than 20 episodes or so. Anyways, I was glad to see it. It was a really enjoyable show to, and I was dissapointed it didn't last more than a year. I can relate to this version of the show alot more now than I can to the high school version.

I agree. I think the humor was a little more "grown-up" if you will in the College Years. It tackled humor that the original series didn't dare touch. It was awesome!

Not quite. There were 19 episodes produced of Saved by the bell - the college years (including the pilot).

Then came the concluding TV movie "Saved by the Bell - Wedding in Las Vegas", which officially wasn´t a part of the TV show (although it was a conclusion of the show).

Anyway, they have aired it pretty weird in Scandinavia too. It has periodically been aired on TCC every day these 19 episodes, and then reruns of these 19 several times until people go mad at it... TCC is canceled now, but they did this parts of last fall and spring anyway, until they decided to show The New Class instead (which is a better decision, since there are at least more episodes of it...).

Sincerely,

I guess it's true-you can't go anywhere without seeing Saved By The Bell somewhere.I thought the College Years was slightly more adult-oriented,and the teachers helped-but this was when Dustin Diamond was getting too old to be an effective Screech, and the whole setup of Zack,Kelly,Slater, etc. going to the same school was s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g things a little too far.I wonder what would've happened if it had gone on another year, though. The wedding in Vegas would've waited.

I don't agree. I think NBC is pretty desprete to put on college episodes! And The New Class is just pathetic, it's for people who have no life. Whenever The College Years episodes are on TBS in the mornings, i refuse to watch that. It's pathetic. It's tring to bring back SBTB, even though it's completey over. IT SUCKS!

If people watch The New Class doesn't mean they have no life, thats just wrong .

I loved The College Years and I still do. Of course it's not as good as SBTB, but I still think it's a good show. I love Kiersten Warren. She's awesome! She was really funny as Alex.

Yeah, I agree. Maybe they like the show very much. I don't know...it's just an assumption.

I love the college years too. I believe that the episodes were more clever, witty, and written better. I actually started to enjoy these episodes more as I got older.

It's a shame it got cancelled after only one season- but at least we got some closure.

BTW, GMMB episodes were very good too. They weren't too unrealistic.

Obviusly you have no life if you like to say people have no life. You attack people for their opinons. Not to be mean or anything, but in a few threads I saw you attacking people for being attracted to Mario Lopez, calling her "********". You have to stop attacking people for their opinons. I think you shoul be banned, JMO though.

I actually like the college episodes better than most of the high school episodes. The college ones are better written and they are a bit more adult. I, too find myself enjoying them much more as I have gotten older. Half of the jokes in the episodes I didn't get back when I was 8 years old. Plus it doesn't hurt that Mark-Paul was super hot during that season.
