In the episode where Fred donates his Blind Mellow Jelly records to the library, in one scene he's singing along with the record. The song was "Shake That Thing". I know that Blind Mellow Jelly was a made up name but a few artists made the song and I'm asking if Papa Charlie Jackson was the artist playing on Fred's record.

I do not know but what you can do is type
in all the info that you may have and see if the name you have pops up. and you might want to check with an old record dealer where ever you live, and also reseach the history of the show and see if any of the writers are still around that may have written for the show, and see if you can find demond wilson he might know I hope you find the answer you are looking for. good luck De De |

Go to AMG (All Music Guide) and type his name into the search box and a short bio and discography will come up.

I recently purchased a cd, Papa Charlie Jackson Vol. 1-1924 to February 1926, and the song "Shake that Thing" is the same as the song on the Sanford and Son episode. I purchased the cd from Songsearch CD Store on the Internet.
