Listening to local talk radio. 1. A Miami Morning disk jockey said when talking about racism in Miani... " Miami's not racist we haven't had a riot here in years... c. Good cable TV - over 25 channels. Worst Things About Being on the Road: a. Doing morning radio interviews. 1. I'm not mean enough or dirty enough. 2. It's the last outpost of show biz. The DJ's are desperate, and will say and do anything to keep the job. Desperate people do desperate things. b. Friday night second show - worst crowd of the week. They're tired and drunk. c. Doing morning radio interviews - nuff' said!!!. d. Newspaper interviews - They never print what you say... they have their own agenda. e. Interviewers that are not prepared... and don't do their homework. f. MORNING RADIO... DID I SAY THAT ? WORST TECH CREW... 1. By far the FOX Theather In St. LOUIS ... RUDE and Very Not interested WE could've caught on fire on stage and the Fox crew would've said '' is that in the contract '' r e. After close to forty years of doing this... it amazes me how many people wanna do interviews with me...cause I'm not a star or anything close to it... just a working road comic...and because of my schedule go crazy when you can't do them. I do on average ten a week to promote upcoming dates... Favorite TV Shows: a. Honeymooners b. Phil Silvers c. Larry Sanders Best TV Show: a. Curb Your Enthusiasm Goals: a. Get back on radio... full-time doing a talk show b. Write full time for a newspaper or magazine Crazy Things That Happen... a. I was fired from Norweigan Cruise Lines... for doing three George Bush Jokes...Told by Norwegian Cruises...We don't want thinking humor... people are on vacation ... we don't want them to think...come back when you learn how to do juggle and do magic... b. The worst sound crew I've ever worked with... is The Greek Theater in L.A... totally incompetent... I've been three times in eight-teen months... with three different shows...and the sound for all the groups was terrible...and the " Crew" had no Idea what or how to fix the problems... but of course they're union...so there's nothing anybody can do...just awful... a. The Fox theather in St. Louis is the second worst and the rudest... they just don't care... 13. Interviewers.. Please Check Frequently Ask Question... On the biography Page... 14. Comedy Clubs... a neccessary evil... collecting the checks at the end of the nite... if you're headlining ... It's tough... because people completely phase out of the show for about five to ten minutes... There are comedy clubs that get it done fast and as quiet as possible and there are those that don't... The Clubs that are the fastest... 1. Hilarities ... Akron Ohio... 2. Comedy Stop At Trop. Atlantic City... The Worst Clubs... 1. Rascals... N.J... |
