Does anyone remember seeing the Last episode of GT? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Just wondering does anyone remember watching the final episode of Good Times- "The End of the Rainbow" when it originally aired back in 1979? What were your reactions? Were you kind of sad to see it go or had you had enough? Was there a big story about it in the mags or what. Just wondering.

The fact that it was aired in August I doubt if the press was saying anything about it. GT had a quiet sendoff it look like. I would be curious to know though if anything was said about the final episode in Magazines or Newspapers

Agreed. It went out with such a whimper. They just ran off the remaining episodes just to get rid of it.

I don't recall any big thing being made abt it. I do recall watching it when it was the finale. It was soooo sad for me because I loved Good Times. I still do. Just don't remember any hoopla being made abt it. It just left the air and that was it.

I wasn't born then so I wouldn't know about any Magazine or newspaper stories. But it was time for it to end, it wasn't good anymore and they didn't really have any good story lines towards the end. Every show has to end, I just wish that this one would have ended a little bit better. A two part episode would have been so much better, instead of everything happening fast in one episode.
