Default Number one meal that you hated when you were a kid

Remember sittign at the dinner table and you did not liek whats on your plate so your mom or who ever cooked it says finish it or you won't get to go out side or kids in china will gladly eat that. Or no desert you will have it for breakfast. Whats your worst meal ever that you always hated and just sat there looking at it?

Liver and Onions, some people likes it,but just the thoguht of it makes me sick.

Any kind of fish. When we were kids, my mother would make shrimp scampi for her and my father every Friday night. My two sisters and I wouldn't eat it, so my mother would make something easy for us...like mac and cheese.

As we got into our mid teens, we started to like fish, so my mother ended up making shrimp scampi for the five of us every Friday night. Years later, my mother would joke that it was cheaper when we didn't like fish.

Cream of mushrooms!

My mom would open up cans of those and heat them up for my paternal grandmother. My mom would give us the leftovers. My grandmother loved it, but I always hated it! It would take me a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time to leave the dinner table because I had such a hard time ingesting those things. I have *always* remembered hating mushrooms because I still do!! Yuck!! *shudders and cringes*

One thing I thought was cool about my mother was that she never forced us to eat anything we hated. She cooked what we liked. For veggies, we'd eat only corn and green beans, so she went with that. Lots of meat/chicken and potato dinners growing up.

Pretty much everything, my mom was a awful cook I dreaded when she made cabbage rolls, she always left toothpicks buried in the darn things. Nothing like the taste of blood and cabbage rolls.....yum

When I was a kid for some reason I hated hamburgers and hot dogs. My mom would make them all the time and force me to eat them. I didn't develop a taste for that stuff till i got older. I also hated any kind of jelly. I only like peanut butter on my sandwiches. My mom was very strict when it came to meal times. We were not permitted to leave the table until our plates were clean. I rememeber how my brother hated Chinese food and my mom had cooked some type of stir fry with bean sprouts in it and wouldn't let him leave the table until he had finished eating. We normally had dinner at 4:30 and my brother was still sitting at the table after dark trying to force the stuff down.

Sausage... always hated it, still do. Rice a Roni, too.

When I was younger, my parents would make me eat everything, but as I approached 10 or 11, they let me stop eating things I hated. I guess they just wanted to ensure I had good eating habits from early on.

Ugh, me too. I can't stand that stuff...and it really bothers my stomach too.

I wouldn't call this a meal, but I absolutley HATED green beans when I was a little kid, and I still hate them! Even the smell of them makes me cringe. The only foods that I really hate are green beans and sausage. There are some foods that I don't particularly care for, but I'll those anyway. I won't go anywhere near green beans and sausage

When I was a kid, I HATED meatloaf. I was never a big eater of red meat, but my Dad used to get mad if I didn't eat what was put out in front of me. Actually, I've grown to like it a little bit but I wouldn't choose it over chicken
