Post No chemistry Between characters Becky #2 and Darlene

It's obvious you guys know what I'm talking about if you have seen the whole run. These 2 really didn't share that much time on screen together and when they did (most of the time)they were fueding. I'm not refering to the actresses but the their characters. Becky #1 and Darlene had a lot more chemistry don you think so?

Bev:I'll never visit you again. I won't come by the restaurant. I will stay completely out of your lives!(she leaves)

Roseanne and Jackie: (happily) YES!

Two things were wrong with Becky #2

1) she had no personality like #1 did.

2) she was as hot as Becky #1.

Don't get me wrong, I thought Becky 2 was pretty, but she did not fit the character. There were some similarites but that was all.

Sorry about that... I didn't write that like I wanted it to sound.

I thought Becky #1 was hotter than Beck #2.

I agree though, both Beckys were fine lookin'... I can't dispute ya there.

But Lacy was a little Hottie That's why she's Little Becky Snatch Cake O'Conner, that little wild thing she is.

Plus I dig her attitude, she could get fired up in a sexy way.

What can I say ? She was a turn on!!

I don't know why they didn't give Sarah more to do. I wish they did. She seemed so invisible most of the time during the last season I remember her getting 1-2 lines in the episode when Roseanne and the Family are invited to stay at some rich family's house.
------------------------
Roseanne: Well, Dan we got 2, count 'em 2 daughters in college.

Dan: Yep. We're gonna have some explaining to do at the next white trash luncheon.

Kid: Why are you so mean?
Roseanne: Cause I hate kids and I'm not your real mom.

Talking I agree

Becky #2 was not good. I have seen her on Scrubs and she is a great actress but on Roseanne she sucked I think they recasted the wrong girl for that part. Sitcoms she never recast because the replacements always suck. Remember the 2nd Darin on Bewitched or the Second Aunt Vi on Fresh Prince. all those replacements sucked.

I have to agree, she didn't know how to play the part. I'm not saying she can't act but as Becky everyone was so used to Lecy who nailed the part so perfectly.

I do agree, Lecy and Sara had a lot more chemistry and they bounced of one another on screen. They made it seem so real. In Seasons 6&7 they changed Becky too much. Darlene began calling her an airhead and she became a dumb blonde but orginally she was the smartest in the family and had better grades then Darlene.

Also in season nine the sister bond is non exsistent, I don't even remember an episode where Sarah and Sara are talking to each other.

Also even though Lecy left for a couple of years when she came back the chemistry between her and Sara was instant as if she had never left.

I also had to add that whenever Darlene had a smartass comment (that we all loved of course) about Becky, Becky always had one back or at least would fight were as in many of the episodes with Sarah, Becky would be passive or just grimace at her, Becky was firey and a bitch, she would never have taken that **** from Darlene.

Default Becky #1 vs. Becky #2

I thought the 2nd Becky was to nice looking, the original Becky and D.J.,and Darlene where your normal average looking kids. When they brought the 2nd Becky on she blew the rest of the cast out of the water with her good looks, and I think thats why she never seemed to fit in.

Couchater and Flager, you both helped prove my point because I was saying the EXACT same thing you were. I though she was just to pretty. Heck I thought she was beautiful. She just didn't fit the part 100%, but I'm glad she was given a chance. The Producers should have done more with her.

Plus Darlene calling her an air head is something I really hated.
Becky #2 got her twice in one episode.

Becky#2: Go to H*ll.
Darlene: Go to the mall.

Darlene: Nothing against you, Becky it's just I hate all vegetables.
Becky#2: Well, you're the vegetarian, Darlene. Eat Me!

I do remember the times that Becky #2 got back at Darlene, but that was few and far between.

I think the problem with Becky #2 had as much to do with Sarah as with the writers.

When someone like Joss Whedon was writing for the show he seemed to know exactly how siblings reacted to each other, My favourite episode is and will always be Little Sister, just the way Darlene and Becky and Jackie and Roseanne interact. it reminds me a lot of my own family.

In the later years the writers went for too many one liners and the characters became inconsistent, I think Jackie also changed and not for the better either.

I never liked the new Becky they should have just wrote the old one outta the show i'd rather have never heard from the real becky than to see a cheesy fake one. I though Becky#2 had no character and didn't even act like the old BEcky. BOOOOOOOO

They really should've left the Becky character out of the entire series if Lecy couldn't do it anymore. I mean during the 5th season Becky was hardly even there and the show was still very funny and had regained all of the ratings that were lost after Roseanne's Baseball singing fiasco in 1990. But when the fake Becky came along, the ratings started to plummet and never went back up. I think Roseanne averaged 23 million viewers during the 1992-1993 season, and that dropped to 17.5 million during the 1993-1994 season.

I thought that was funny too. I would love that.
