Post Funniest moments...

What are some of the funniest moments from HotC that you can remember?
One moment that I love is from the episode The Bright Stuff. Arvid and Dennis are at the space museum and Arvid starts trying on space helmets. His head gets caught in one so he puts his arm in there to try to free his head but then his arm also gets stuck! One of the judges from the contest comes along and Arvid tries to act all dignified! This still has me rolling every time I see it!

Do you remember Arvid and Dennis auditioning for one of Mr. Moore's musicals, when they sang "Bess, you is my woman now" from Porgy and Bess? LOL

Question

Hmmm... I'm trying to remember that one. Which episode is it?

Where they sing that song is from the Hair episode.

I like in the Hair episode where Arvid and Dennis are doing the sets and they get in a paint fight.

Oh, that's right, when they are trying out for it. I love the paint sequence. Arvid falls in the big vat of paint and gets all mad while Dennis says "You almost 'dyed' and went to heaven!"

I remember an "awww" moment. Mr. Moore was telling the class how his ex-wife is now married to an orthodondist and has "three kids with great teeth." He looks around the room and says "I have 10 with great minds."

Yeah, you're right about the audition being for "Hair." Did Mr. M seem kinda unfair to anyone else, the way he almost never cast Dennis and Arvid, except for eventually in "Little Shop"?

Question

I have always thought Mr. Moore was unfair to those two when it came to plays. Alan had to lose his voice for Arvid to get the part and Dennis had to climb into the plant suit just to show him how good he would be. Otherwise, Mr. M seems pretty cool to his students. Does he just flip out when it's time to put on a show?!

Exactly! Mr. Moore was all about teaching the kids that being bookish or nerdy or not looking like everyone else was OK, that they were special and could experience everything the world had to offer. He taught them that life wasn't just for the good looking and popular. So how come he acted like it was unthinkable to cast a cute fat guy and an obvious nerd in one of his high school plays? I mean, he's the one who pushed everyone to audition, anyway! Gosh, it was years ago, and I'm still one mad redhead over this!

From one redhead to another (though mine isn't natural )! And Dennis & Arvid were perfect for those parts!!!

I know they were. I loved Arvid as Seymore. I couldn't imagine anyone else playing Seymore even though Alan almost did. Dennis was a great plant. Alan wasn't right for that part though, Arvid was nerdy and awkward and that is what Seymore was. That is why he was so good.

Exactly. And we can probably count the two "Little Shop" episodes as some of the funniest moments because they both had so many funny things in them! FEED ME!
