going from 1-10 (1 being best)---
1. "Simon Says."- Cheers. 2. "Lucy Is Enceinte."- I Love Lucy. 3. "The $99,000 Answer."- The Honeymooners. 4. "Chuckles Bites The Dust."- The Mary Tyler Moore Show. 5. "That's My Boy?"- The Dick Van Dyke Show. 6. "The Contest."- Seinfeld. 7. "Lucy Does A TV Commercial./Job Switching."- I Love Lucy. 8. "The Case Of The Missing Blonde."- Three's Company. 9. "Ed's Bed."- Mister Ed. 10. "The Snow Must Go On."- The Mary Tyler Moore Show. This is one list I must honestly say is in order. I judged it, (as should you), on how well the script was written and the acting was portrayed. Simon Says- Saw it the other day, could not stop laughing for one second throughout the last 10 minutes or so. "Ah, I was getting worried about where you were." John Cleese was hilarious. The script and acting, especially by the guest actor, who rarely stole the show, was superb. What's your lists? Please list 10. (in order or not) |

This is different. Not the best sitcom episodes, the most BRILLIANT sitcom episodes. I mean stellar writing and guest cast and the overall production of the episodes. |

If you think about it, there is some difference. Brilliance is not necessarily the best. For example I don't think "Simon Says" is the best Cheers episode, just the most brilliant. (and pretty damn funny too)

The best episode that I have ever seen is Henry Blake's final episode on MASH. That final minute when the 4077th and the audience learn of Henry's death is one of the most shocking and saddest things I've ever seen on a TV show.
