Default Final Episode

I've wondered for a while why the producers did not bring back some of the past cast members for the final episode (after all Mickey Ross and Bernie West had writing credits for the first time in several years)? Obviously the bridges with Suzanne had been burned, but it would have been nice to see The Ropers, Cindy (who was just a few miles away at UCLA!), or even Lana come back for the wedding! Does anyone know if they were even asked? Or why they weren't?

It wouldn;t have made sense for Lana to be there because she was only on the series briefly in season 4. Plus Lana was not one of janet's friends so it was no need for her to be at the wedding. Now the Ropers could have been there and Cindy, but defintely not Lana

The producers were more concerned with creating Three's A Crowd then worrying about a proper final.

Well it couldn't be a complete and total closeout of the Three's Company because of like you said, they were continuing with the life of Jack tripper. So to me it wasn;t a real finale, it was just the other three's company characters being written off so they could continue with season 9 of the show which only focused on Jack and new characters

Actually Cindy wouldn't want to come. It's said that the reason she never came back is because she was mad at Janet for what Janet did to her at the Beagle

For the last time, SHE WAS NOT MAD AT JANET. Cindy was just a little surprised at Janet's new attitude and she said to herself-"Well I see you around" Her exit from the beagle never showed she was upset.

Yea that wouldn't make much sense because everybody else forgave Janet for her attitude. You would think that Cindy would too.

That's exactly what I was going to say.

Since Cindy basically disappeared and there was never really a formal reason for her departure, many people use the idea of her being angry with Janet as the reason why she left and never came back, but this isn't the actual reason. There was never a reason given as to why Cindy never returned (we all know the reasons behind the scenes, but for the actual character there is no real explanation).

I guess the only explanation we can use is that she met new people at UCLA and didn't have time to go back to APT 201 with all her studying and new friends

That would've been the only true reason why she didn't return.Like they should've had one of the characters say that CIndy wasn't gonna come back, then gave the reason. It's just like CHrissy. No one knew why she didn't come back also. The two characters just disappeared and never came back without anyone knowing why

Cindy enrolled in UCLA which is why we saw less and less of her. Then she probably met new friend and just didn't find the time to visit the trio.

They should'ing like that. They should've had CIndy call them and tell them that she met some new friends and won't be able to visit that much which the trio might've understood
