I have a bunch of cheap DVD's I got at Wal Mart for five or six dollars that aren't that bad quality. The Platinum Disc Coperation has a bunch of public domain DVD's. I have a two disc collection of Ozzie and Harriet, and Andy Griffith, The Lucy Show, and the Red Skelton Show. The only problem is that there logo is at the bottom corner of every episode, but for 5 dollars I can live with that.

I have the Lucy Show 4 disc set, and yeah, the logo is a little irritating. This appears to be something that they only use on some of their public domain DVDs. But, on the bright side, the episodes generally are pretty good for public domain. Platinum Disc Corp. is also the company that distributes Due South in the US and the 90's Jennifer Lopez series Second Chances. But, one strange thing about Platinum is that, unlike other DVD companies, they don't have a web site, an 800 #, or a physical address listed on any of their products; just a long distance phone # and P.O. Box. Very strange... especially considering that as of this year, they are the exclusive distributor of Hallmark Entertainment's catalog of films.
