Ok, so who's up for a new story, huh?

This idea came straight from Katie, so I'm giving her all the credit. Also, maybe it would be a good idea to hold all the comments after the story is done, because like "Hollywood Hills", it's kind of going to be a roleplay. Thanks

Larry Dallas finally got out of his bed, deciding that he wanted something to fill his stomach and that his throat was dry. The supper he had a few hours obviously didn't do much good at all, for all he had was a few peices of pizzas he ordered for him and his wife.

"Larry hon, is there something wrong?" Of course, she had to ask as he was almost home free and out of the door on his way down the stairs. She always was a light sleeper, and anything could easily wake her up.

He went back over to the bed and kissed her cheek. "Don't worry, I'm just a little thirsty," he said as she nodded her head and closed her eyes, trying to fall back asleep but knew she probably wouldn't.

Larry finally got down the stairs without waking his wife up again, and he quitely walked across the hard wood floor of the kitchen. He stopped in his tracks and looked all over the room. The whole house was beautiful, surprisingly it only took a few months to redecorate all of it. But they both knew they were going to be redecorating it again.

He whistled softly as he opened the refrigerator door, carefully scanning to see if anything good to eat was there. The first thing that came to his brown eyes was the big chocolate cake that they bought for his birthday. He didn't know if taking a peice would be a good idea because it always gave him a little stomach ache, but he knew that it probably wouldn't even bother him if he was fully asleep. He grinned as he took out the cake, cutting out a bigger peice than he thought he would.

"Now that tastes good," he said as he licked the rest of the icing off his lips, placing the cake back into the refridgerator and quietly walking upstairs again. Jack always bakes good cakes, he thought. Even today they were still friends, and Larry was glad because he would probably die if he didn't eat good tasting food everyday. He chuckled as he crawled back into bed again and kissed his wife on the cheek again.

"You smell like chocolate cake" his wife informed him, groggily before falling back to sleep. He was too late to respond for she was out again. He sat up for awhile and admired her beauty.

It didn't matter how soundly he slept, he always moved around alot, changing his position. His stomach was aching and he was starting to feel sick. Please god, don't let this be the flu...why'd I have to eat such a big slice of cake.He thought as he drifted off to sleep listening to the rain lightly tapping against the window and their roof. It was about 3AM when he bolted up in bed screaming.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Terri Dallas shot straight up from the bed as she heard her husband scream. He rarely had any trouble sleeping, and both of them would sleep like babies. She started to rub his neck as he started to relax a little more.

"I don't know, I think I just had a bad dream," Larry said as he started to breathe in more deeply. He slowly leaned back into his comfortable bed and tried to go back to sleep. Larry never really had bad dreams at all, sometimes he didn't even dream. I just hope I can finally get some sleep, he thought as he closed his eyes.

"Hey thanks for breakfast Ter," Larry said as she put the plate filled with bacon and eggs in front of him. His eyes were a little puffy he looked as if he hadn't gotten any sleep for a week. As he dug his fork into his eggs, he held the fork in the air as Jack and Janet both came into their door.

"What are you trying to do, buddy? Look I know we're not going to a real fancy restaurant, but you don't have to eat before so you have an excuse not to eat there," Jack Tripper chuckled as he patted Larry's back. They were both dressed in t-shirts and long pants, while carrying a light jacket in case it got a little chilly since fall was approaching.

"Oh god Jack, I forget we were all going to breakfast today!" Larry said apologetically as he and Terri raced upstairs to change. Jack and Janet both giggled as they witnessed them both running in their pajamas, almost causing each other to fall over.

"Hard to admit, but they're little klutz just as we are," Jack said putting his arm around his wife.

"You mean they're klutz just as you are," she said, cracking a smile. Even after all the time they'd been together, Jack could still always make her laugh and smile. She couldn't stop herself when she laughed as Jack stuck his tongue out and crossed his eyes.

After a few mintues, both couples were ready to head out. Larry asked, "So, who else are we meeting there?"

Terri said "We are meeting Richie and Katie there! They couldn't get over here this early so we told them to meet us at the restaurant. They are saving us a table. Which I have to say that if we don't get a move on we are going to be late!!"

The two couples walked into the restaurant and saw Richie and Katie sitting at a big table at the back of the restaurant. Richie laughed as he looked at Larry, Terri, Jack and Janet. He asked "Larry you look like you had a rough night. Has Terri been keeping you up all night again?"

Larry blushed and Terri laughed and rolled her eyes. Jack and Janet merely rolled their eyes. It was good to be among friends. It is hard to believe that they have been friends for all these years!!

Janet felt a rush of warmth staining her cheeks as she gazed at her best friends, daintily nibbling on her french toast. 'This stuff doesn't compare to Jack's cooking, she thought with a small smile. The mediocre food did little to disturb her good mood, though-- she was so happy to be with good friends, enjoying a good meal.

' Seems like only yesterday we were just young kids struggling to get our rent in on time, she realized, unable to keep herself from giggling. ' Poor Mr. Furley...we must've been getting on his last nerve!'

"Hey, what are you laughing about?" Jack asked softly, patting her leg under the table, causing her to shiver.

"Oh, just enjoying myself," she teased. Jack shook his head and grinned, knowing very well it was hard to pull anything out of Janet.

Katie glared at Richie and elbowed him in the ribs extremely hard. She had been in a bad mood all morning and he couldn't figure out why. She quickly put on a happy face. She didn't want to ruin the outing for her friends. Janet could always sense when something was wrong. They had been good friends for years. "Katie, are you okay?" she was concerned. "Of course, why wouldn't I be okay, never been better, excuse me." Katie knocked Richie on his behind as she slid out of the booth. Terri and Janet ran off after her.

"Okay Richie, what happened this time." Jack got right to the heart of the matter. Larry was just trying to stay awake. "I don't have a clue Jack, she's been like this all week. One minute, she's all sweet and affectionate, the next, she's screaming at me and running out of the room crying or she's opening every window in the house, complaining about how hot it is and it's September for god's sake."

Larry and Jack looked at each other with smiles on their faces. They each had been going thru the same issues with their wives. They sat in silence as they waited for the women to come back from the bathroom.

Terri and Janet caught up with Katie in the bathroom. They watched as she stood looking in the mirror at herself. She was ranting and raving. They stood in the background listening and waiting.

"Richie is driving me absolutely crazy. He thinks he is funny, but in truth he is just plain annoying!!"

Terri smiled and said "If it is because of what he said to Larry don't worry about it. Larry does look terrible and we all know it."

Janet laughed and added "Yeah, don't worry about it!!"

"It isn't just that. It seems like all he does is make jokes. I am having a hard time remembering why we fell in love."

Janet and Terri smiled as they stood talking to their friend.

It seemed like they all needed a trip down memory lane.

Larry was still having a hard time staying awake.

The waitress approaches them and they order more coffee for Larry. Who is nodding off. "Hey buddy, try and stay awake will you?" Jack shook his friend.
The girls finally came back and Katie kept giving Richie dirty looks and picking on every little thing he did. He was fed up and shouted at her infront of everyone. "What is your problem!?" She stood up, threw her napkin down and her orange juice in his face and screamed "You are, you Jackass!" "Sorry Jack, no offense."

With that, she stormed out of the restaurant, got in the car and left.
Her friends were completely stunned and Richie was completely humiliated.

The friends were all completely stunned. They had a hard time figuring out what had just happened.

Richie asked "Can someone please tell me what the hell just happened?"

Jack said "Well, she called you a Jackass and then...."

Janet interupted Jack "Jack that isn't what he meant...."

Richie smiled and said "I am really starting to wonder what is going on with her lately. Nothing I say or do is right. I do what she asks and then she tells me that I didn't do it right. I am starting to question my sanity!"

Terri smiled and said "Give her time. I have a feeling everything will work itself out soon."

Richie looked at Terri and smiled as he said "I hope you are right Terri. I really hope you are right."

With that, Jack, Janet and Terri looked at Richie and smiled. Larry on the other hand had finally nodded off to sleep. Terri shook her head and smiled as she said "Well, looks like sleeping beauty is down for the count."

The others just laughed and smiled at Terri!!

Jack and Janet gave Richie a ride home, Terri and Larry had left the restaurant before them. When he walked through the frontdoor. Katie, Terri, Larry, along with Richie's friends and family, jumped out from various hiding places and yelled "Surprise!"

It certainly was a surprise. One that Richie was not expecting. Everyone congratulated him on the success of his latest sculpture. He looked over at Katie who was smiling at him. She really put one over on him.

Katie smiled as she walked over to Richie and whispered to him "Gotcha!"

He smiled and took her in his arms and gave her a huge kiss. After which he said "You did get me good. Although the orange juice in the face was a bit much."

Laughing Katie said "I had to make it believeable. Otherwise you might have followed me!!"

Richie looked at the others and said "You guys were in on this all along?"

He smiled as they all nodded. "Boy, since when did Janet and Terri get so good at keeping secrets? There was a time when everyone would have known. Including me..."

The friends looked at each other and smiled. Knowing how true his statement was the friends laughed and talked for a few hours. Larry was still having a hard time staying awake. This prompted Richie to ask him "Larry, buddy are you feeling okay? You look like you could sleep for a month."

Larry merely nodded his head and started to drift off to sleep again. His last thought before he fell asleep was "What in the world is wrong to me!?"

The party was wonderful, although Larry really wasn't conscious for most of it. With Jack and Richie's help. Terri managed to get Larry in the car and she drove home. Once they got home, he drudged over to the couch and collapsed. He put on a football game and fell asleep. He woke up a couple hours later and had some soup for dinner before drudging upstairs to bed. He was out as soon as his head hit the pillow.

Terri was watching her husband sleep. She couldn't figure out what was happening to him. He was normally very active and alert. Now, it seemed like all he wanted to do was sleep. Although, lately when he slept it was a restless sleep. He would wake up screaming. Sometimes, he would call out her name in a voice filled with terror and pain. There were two things that she wished for. One was that she could do something to help him and the second was she wished he would talk about what was bothering him. It was as though some nameless terror was stalking him and he was afraid to give voice to it. Almost as though if talking about it would make it that much more real and terrifying. Terri just wished that she knew how to reach him. How to help him thru what he was going thru......

It was another night of bad dreams. The same one as last night and the night before. Katie and Richie stopped by to visit Larry and Terri on their way to
Hollingworth Orchards. They were going apple picking and were meeting Jack and Janet there. "Honey, we should try and get him out of the house." Katie commented to Richie. "We could try sweetie, but, I don't know that it would do any good." Katie rang the doorbell and Diane, Larry's sister, answered. "Hey you two, long time, no see, c'mon in." She stepped out of the way so the Gray's could enter the Dallas home.

They chatted with Diane a little before she had to leave for work. She was staying with Larry and Terri while her apartment was being repainted. Larry walked downstairs. He looked about the same, like he hadn't slept in weeks.
"Hey buddy, Katie and I are going apple picking up in the country with Jack and Janet, why don't you and Terri come with us?"

Katie and Richie stopped by to visit Larry and Terri on their way to Hollingworth Orchards. They were going apple picking and were meeting Jack and Janet there. "Honey, we should try and get him out of the house." Katie commented to Richie. "We could try sweetie, but, I don't know that it would do any good." Katie rang the doorbell and Diane, Larry's sister, answered. "Hey you two, long time, no see, c'mon in." She stepped out of the way so the Gray's could enter the Dallas home. They chatted with Diane a little before she had to leave for work. She was staying with Larry and Terri while her apartment was being repainted. Larry walked downstairs. He looked about the same, like he hadn't slept in weeks. "Hey buddy, Katie and I are going apple picking up in the country with Jack and Janet, why don't you and Terri come with us?"
