Lecy in season 8 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

If anyone watched TV Land Confidential did yas catch when Lecy said she was unhappy doing the show in season 8 and now that I think about in most episodes after her first episode back she doesn't seem that much into it. Maybe Becky Howser MD is when she really got back into character but by then I think it was kinda late since she only appears in a few more episodes after that. But anyway yeah since didn't seem too happy in most episodes.

I missed it.. Was that the only thing she talked about? I wonder why she was unhappy?

she talked about leaving in season 5 too but basically the stuff we know (college, etc.), meeting sarah chalke briefly, and roseanne cutting off her hair and she was horrified.

So did she want her hair cut? I thought the story went that the producers wouldnt let her cut it so Roseanne cut most of it and then asked a hairdresser to finish it.

This is how the story goes:
Lecy wanted to get it cut around the middle/end of season 3 but only around her jaw but they said no so she got depressed and finally a couple months later Roseanne asked her what was wrong and Lecy said she's sick of putting up with the producers and they wont even let her cut her hair so Roseanne took the scissors and cut it above her ear which wasn't how short Lecy wanted it and she (in her words) "was horrified by the way it looked". If you notice by the end of season 4 she was letting it grow long again but by season 5 it's back to being short.

God, I just loved how Roseanne always defied the producers and made it known that the show was her HER OWN.
