well, in Philadelphia, pennsylvania we had a channel that showed it in the late 70s and 80s at various times. And,a New York station showed it on weekday afternoons in the 70s-that's when I "rediscovered" it.

maybe you're thinking of that short-lived revival? Because I think that was on FOX.

no, I mean the original series used to be on in the afternons. It might have been later 80's instead of the early 90's though

I live in NYC and remember the show was syndicated here in 1970. It aired on WOR9 (now a UPN station) for 2 seasons then moved to WPIX11 and aired there through 1979 (in the afternoons from 72-74 and mornings from 74-75, 76-77 and 78-79). In 1980 it moved to WNEW 5 (now a Fox station) and ran there until 1988 in the afternoons and later in late night. A Philly station had a marathon of episodes last year, but I don't know if it airs anywhere in this country locally anymore.

"Get Smart" currently airs on just one channel in the country; WWME-TV 23 in Chicago. Get Smart is too good of a show to be excluded from a national network.

Yea...
Its only on Sunday nite currently for 1 episode. They did have a Get Smart Mini-Marathon a few Sundays ago after Don Adams passed away.

Default yes, "GET SMART" was syndicated....

...as soon as the series left CBS in the fall of 1970. There was a knotty legal problem, however, due to the show moving from NBC to CBS in the fall of 1969. The last season was copyrighted in CBS' name {"Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc."}, due to Leonard Stern and Talent Associates' deal with the network to bring the show over from NBC. There were 26 episodes filmed during the last season (1969-'70), and 21 of those were somewhat withheld from the syndication package, due to a complicated agreement with local stations who could only show those 21 episodes in syndication just THREE times, and had to keep track of their screenings for legal reasons. Most stations just "skipped over" those episodes and merely showed the five that the agreement didn't cover. By the '80s, the legalities were straightened out, and ALL episodes were made available for syndication.

WPIX-TV, Channel 11 in New York, ran "GET SMART" throughout the '70s and early '80s. Then, WNEW-TV (now WNYW) got the rights to show them, and dropped it around 1990.

TV Get Smart

In the 1970's, Los Angeles' KCOP-TV Channel 13 (My13) aired "Get Smart" at 2:30pm weekdays and perhaps into the early '80's as well.

Not sure of any earlier or later times on the schedule for 'Smart'.
