For me it's the original cast(and also Bill Murry who replaced Chevy Chase when he left).

Favorite one? Not sure, maybe Dan Ackroyd because of his versatility. Close behind are Kevin Nealon and Tina Fey. Guess I'm kind of a sucker for Weekend Update - it has consistently been the funniest part of the show. I even found Norm MacDonald and Dennis Miller funny, and I can't stand them. The only real failure in WU was Colin Quinn.
Least favorite? Most of the early 80s cast (other than Eddie Murphy). Others: David Spade - too smarmy and egotistical, and he brought that to his performances. Jimmy Fallon - made himself laugh more than he made the audience laugh. He's likeable, but unprofessional. |

So much great humor over these many years, I love the '84 season with Billy Crystal and Martin Short, some insane stuff that year, Ed Grimley is a personal fave. Chris Farley's motivational speaker is one for the ages.
