Default Why so many different opening credits?

Why did this show have so many different opening credits? Did they really do new ones every year? It must've been their trademark to do that.

I don't know but I like it like that. When shows change the credits each year.

I liked the first season credits the best. They still could've worked for Season 2 yet since there wasn't really a full season 1. Maybe they still used them yet for Season 2.

I think they were in front of their old house in the suburbs packing the station wagon, and then it shows them driving down the busy highway into the city, and it ends with them walking into their apartment and plopping down the sofa all tired-out. I liked those credits.

I think Bonnie Franklin had some suitcases she sets down and she jumps up into the air like "I'M FREE" and the screens reads "starring Bonnie Franklin." Valerie B. is playing with a basketball and it says "Valerie Bertinelli", and I think Mac Phillips is putting stuff in the back of the car and then her name comes on.

They were going to their apartment in a cab? I thought they had an outdated looking white station wagon (even for '75). Cn somebody tell us the mystery about the ugly yellow cab?
