When I was 14, I wanted to see Led Zeppelin at the Kingdome in Seattle in 1977, but didn't have the money. Plus I heard that psychic lady Jeanne Dixon prophesied that the Kingdome would collapse from the weight of all the concert-goers there and only four people would survive (Gee, I wonder who? ). That Sunday, I stayed overnight at my grandmother's apartment in Ballard (north of downtown Seattle), and I was on edge, thinking the disaster was going to happen. So I sat on the couch reading that night, and panicked when I heard a siren!!

Fortunately, the Kingdome remained intact. There were a few skirmishes with the police, bottles thrown, a few incidents of mayhem, but other than that nothing happened. I wished that I had gotten to see them, since I was becoming hooked on the song "Kashmir" (one of my musical epiphany songs), and Led Zeppelin were supposed to be at their musical peak. Unfortunately, the week after the concert began some of the worst events of their career with them practically being banned from ever playing San Francisco again after their entourage got in a drug-money shakedown scuffle with members of Bill Graham's promotion team, and then while vacationing in Greece, Robert Plant's wife nearly died of a ruptured appendix, and sadly, his five-year old son died. It took a few years until the release of their next album (In Through the Out Door) and it was announced that the band would tour. Just as they were getting set to go out on the road, drummer John Bonham died from his heart stopping after way too many shots. The band never toured again and broke up.

Seeing Led Zeppelin would have been awesome. My life would have been complete.
