Default Until Tonight, I never knew Sherman Hemsley Guest Starred on 227 and let me just say

The episode was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Da** this was a funny episode with him and Mary going at it and the the thing that took the cake was when he was dancing with Sandra, Mary, and Rose-LOL The Man had dancing skills and I have to record this episode when it comes back on at 3am. Great episode.

No she was on there a few times. Remember when she came on as one of Thelma's old high school friends. And then when the Deacon was defending her in a murder trial because she killed her husband. And her and the Deacon ended up getting married. But at the end it turned out to be a dream that the Deacon was having.

So, there were a lot of crossovers b'tween 227 and Amen? Kind of interesting since both shows aired on the same night during their original NBC days!

No they were not crossovers. When Sherman guest starred on 227, he wasn;t playing his Deacon Frye Character. And when Jackee guest starred on Amen she didn;t play her Sondra Character.

Whitman Mayo and Lawanda Page guest starred on 227 and Amen also. It was starting to look like a Norman Lear hold over for those who needed work.
