Default Would the theme song be edited today?

If One Day was shown today by somebody like TV Land would they edit the theme song? This was back in the days when TV shows had catchy longer opening themes. I'm certain TV Land edited the open credits for Maude and Lifetime edits the Golden Girls opening. I'll bet One Day's opening theme credits would be cut down if somebody showed it today.

They would do it in a heartbeat and they would also edit scenes out of the eps. That's why having it on DVD is very necessary.

I lived in Dallas in the late 80's. I moved there in 1987. One of the local independent stations aired ODAAT at 9am and shortened the opening theme. The part "so up on your feet" was taken out and it went straight to the final "one day at a tiiiiiime." LOL.

They, of course, edited some scenes out of the opening also. They did this to all 9 seasons and all the different openings. It is the only time I have ever seen it edited. But I wouldn't put it past TV Land, if the show ever makes it to TV Land.

I definitely think they wood. More air time for commercials. It's all about the $$$ (unfortunately).

I believe One Day At A Time aired on KTVT Channel 11 in the Dallas-Fort
Worth area.

Yep, you got it. That was when KTVT was an independent station, a few years before they got the CBS network moniker. I remember FOX took over channel 4, the previous CBS affiliate, and CBS went to channel 11.

Speaking of editing, do you think certain stations would edit out Ann's reference to spanking and how it made Ed a good father? What she said seems so out of place today and might offend people.
