Ep. #3 - "Tricks and Treats" Discussion - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

As much as I loved the first two episodes, this was the one that took it to another level for me. It all began with the opening scene, with Sam and Neil loading up the blender with stuff for Haverchuck to drink. The nerdy way Sam says "put on the blindfold....step into the soundproof booth" and he hands Haverchuck some cheap headphones. The way they laughed as they were putting stuff in, then when Bill drank it. Basically that entire scene just seemed so natural and effortless on their part I thought to myself, these kids are really great actors or they really are geeks.

Haverchuck as the bionic woman is priceless. The line of the episode, Haverchuck goes "I'm not a little girl, I'm the bionic woman." Classic.

And another example of why I liked the Sam and Lindsay brother/sister relationship, you see how upset and concerned Lindsay was after she saw that it was Sam who was hit with an egg. Then later she tries to make amends with mom after not handing out candy with her earlier.

I thought this episode mixed the humorous moments and a couple of touching moments perfectly. This was the best of the first three episodes for me and the one that really made me feel this was a uniquely good series. One of my favorite scenes of the entire series.

THis is a great one too and the costumes rocked and Joe Flaherty in the Count Floyd outfit was even more AWESOME!!!
