Thumbs down This show got to much credit!

This show was horrible! Phyllis was better! Phyllis was funnier, her & Mary were funnier than Mary & Rhoda, and Rhoda's sister was annoying! Her mother was good but the sister I didn't like. Phyllis should have gotten this credit, she deserved it more than Rhoda. Was it because Rhoda was younger that her show lasted or what? Because I seen Rhoda and the only episode I liked is her wedding to Joe. It was funny how Phyllis forgot to pick her up I laughed the intire time Phyllis was on that episode! So what is so special about Rhoda that Phyllis never had?

Well...Phyllis was alot better then Rhoda, but it wasn't terrible, as in fact the first season or two were in fact very, very good.

I love both Rhoda and Phyllis. They're both great characters. Rhoda seemed too insecure and whiny though on the first two seasons of her show. Does that make sense to anyone else?

Ahh, Cloris Leachman Fan I just forgave you for what you said about 'Mary and Rhoda'. And now I know exactly why you say things like this. YOU'RE JEALOUS.You're so jealous you can't take it. Most people like Rhoda better than Phyllis and you can't take it. That's ok I understand.

First of all, Valerie Harper is incredibly talented, not to metnion sweet!! I met her in person, but that's another story! Rhoda is so much better of a show than Phyllis! If Rhoda sucks so much, why did it run longer than Phyllis did?

I'll be honest. It did get kind of boring when the 3rd season started. Joe was only appearing occasionally. I don't know. Maybe Rhoda and Joe together made the show. The setting? I dunno.

I,for one, liked Rhoda much better than Phyllis.I never saw Phyllis,by the way.I hadn't liked her that much on MTM.(Ms.Leachman is a very good actress, and the fact that I wasn't crazy about Phyllis kind of proves it.Phyllis was obnoxious after all and Chloris played her very well.)
I loved Brenda. She made the show for me and there were many shows which would've been duds if not for her.I found her charming,in a pathetic sort of way,and have regard for
Julie Kavner.Too bad her best Supporting Actress Emmy came too late in the course of the series.
I am posting this to show how much opinions can be like snowflakes...no two are exaactly the same.

Look, man, face the facts! You scream jealousy!! If you weren't jealous you wouldn't come on here saying ****ty things about a show people like without a leg to stand on. Come back later when you have a good argument for me so I can make your ass look like a fool again.

No one is jealous. However, Cloris Leachman Fan, while you're entitled to your opinion, you're opinion is, of course, biased. I mean, I love certain shows that other people hate just becausep people I like appear in those shows. You may not be jealous, but your opinion does look a little shaky, as it is quite obviously biased.

I thought that, certainly, "Phyllis" was better than "Rhoda", though I also thought that "Rhoda" was still very funny.

Personally, I feel "Rhoda" was a much better show than "Phyllis". I've always liked Cloris Leachman as an actress (she was a scream as "Granny" in the movie version of "The Beverly Hillbillies"). I thought as "Phyllis", she was very good in a supporting role on "Mary Tyler Moore". I don't think, however, that the character was strong enough to build an entire show around. If others prefer "Phyllis" to "Rhoda", that's fine. It's not a question of jealousy, just a matter of personal preference.
