it got removed b/c it looked like it was going to turn into one of those unpleasant posts like we had before, where people started getting ugly about each other
but fear not, i will be posting about the traders in question in the feedback section and thanks for the advice www.freewebs.com/nmboye

Joker,
You can delete any of your posts. Click "edit" under any post you've made. At the top, there's a section for deleting. It's quite simple, really. No secret to it. Not all posts get deleted by the moderators. |

You can delete your own comments, BUT the thread does not disaqppear.
In this case the thread disappeared. (and I have a problem with that) Like I wrote to the Mod If the comments are not personal (i.e. have nothing to do with trading) or are just fabricated lies - a thread shouldn't be touched. LOCK IT but don't DELETE IT. |

I am trying to think how to sum up----
OKay about 3 months ago- there was a situation with a now banned user. At that time, he had a ....disagreement with Loren, Most of us are familiar with it. It got out of hand. The user was warned, and then suspended briefly. During the suspension, a new account was created- with the same information for registering, and was signed up specifically to attack Loren. That account was in fact banned. 3 days after that, a new account was created- And on a post Loren had made (lol) This new user, posted- and took things out of control, and reports about the poster was made. And you guys will never guess this-It was in fact the same person all three times, and again, it was banned. (you saw that coming didn't you) OKay, in the last month, I have noticed a pattern of posts by this same person. Exhausting trying to patrol this user. It seems whenever a post is made that involves ugly situations, feedback etc, specifically the jump in. Now a thread was started, about "trading advice etc" and Lamont may or may not have wanted to edit his posts, but I was the mdoerator who closed the thread, because the lsat post made was by, none other than, this thorn in my side user. So our of respect for your good names, and the shield Loren from yet another attack, because that seems to be the one and only goal of this user. It was closed. I apologize for any inconvienience, and perhaps I should have said something last night about it. But, in doing so- I felt you might be held accountable by this old user- and be held liable for my decision and they would assume they had been reported. And I was trying (whimper) to keep things from getting out of control as they did a month ago. I admit I am new to moderating here, and this particular user has me running in circles. i welcome feedback, and even criticism- but but my intent was only to respect you as helpful community members- and as well, eliminate any chaos in your lives- or the possibility of you making to me, an easily made enemy with this user. kim, thanks for the explained reasoning
i hope its ok for lamont to post in the feedback area, about his poor experiences with these two people lamont made a nice comment about how the people on this site--have been straight and correct in their trades, and those hes made outside of the protected area have come up smelly theres a reason for that, posting the proper facts in the bad trader, or feedback area, and thus people are informed and stay away from the problems i hope hes allowed to post the facts in this case in that area, and like always, an informed group is a safer group some of us know these people and avoid them, but the majority of traders dont kim thanks for doing your job to protect the group, and yes sometimes the hammer needs to come down |

Thanks Loren-
And to the rest who offered their understanding. I am not without mistakes, so don't be afraid to disagree. I just ask you do so in a polite fashion. Even though so many of us have so much in common, we trade in different styles, and have many different circumstances that go into our day to day lives. Which is why communication is important. You can have a bad trade, and not be a bad trader. You can have a bad thread, and not be a bad person. I encourage everyone to write about their good and bad trades- and to communicate- always. And to try to put yourself in each others shoes, when a trade does go badly for example- as bad feedback can leave a bad repuation. And on the same hand, sometimes we forget to mention the good ones- only the problem ones. But no matter, it all comes down to what is going to make things happier, or more smoothly run- and sometimes, threads take misdirection, or leave people exposed to ridicule, or mockery, even insults- and that was why I stepped in. In the future, perhaps locking, not deleting it will be an option. But overall, because we exchange private information- such as addresses, and so on- my protective nature does take over, I fully admit ![]() Thank you for all the feedback and personal responses that went into this situation- the more you guys speak up, the better I can help in the long run. Happy trading ![]() Savage~ |
