Default Was it obvious to anyone else that at the end of

the episode-"Stomach Mumps", Janet Jackson was trying to keep from laughing during her crying scene? That was a poor crying act.

to blend in with the rest of them who couldn't act. LOL
I don't know. she then was chosen for Fame. maybe they wanted to hype up the shows with a known actress. Known- yes actress- no!

I thought she was good in Diff'rent Strokes. She went from Good Times to Diff'rent Strokes to Poetic Justice, now that's a leap.

Poetic justice was an okay movie, but JMO only, there wasn't much acting ability that needed to be done. She can't do any heavyweight stuff. Besides, they director and producers were trying to cash in on her fame, not to mention Tupac's fame to keep the movie afloat. If it wasn't for them two, the movie would have went nowhere.

That's why they were picked to do the movie, I myself enjoyed the movie, I've seen it 100's of time. It all depends on the person taste.

Poetic Justic was a decent movie, but Janet's acting stunk in the movie. She tried to act ghetto by cursing, and you could tell it wasn't in her to do that. So she's not that versatile as an actress. I'm not bashing Janet, but she needed to work on that.

I didn;t have a problem with her Diffrent Strokes character, I guess because she was older

Exactly. That's how I feel. Her work on "Fame" was stinking also. She is definitely no Nia Long or Regina King. She was there to be looked at, not to act. Sorry Janet, stick with dancing and singing.
