Some of the other characters did notice the credits occasionally, even Oliver a couple of times. As for the rest of the time, I guess the writer's wanted that to be one of the things that Lisa was remembered for, like Oliver was known for his speeches and his temper, Mr. Kimball for his forgetfulness, etc.
Hope that was of some help!

Oliver: I'd take a seed, a tiny little seed, I'd plant it in the ground, I'd put some dirt on it, I'd water it, and pretty soon, do you know what I would have? Lisa: A dirty little wet seed. |

I liked the time when Mr. Kimblle was saying something to Mr. Douglas and some other guy, then he (Kimblle) walked away. The guy said to Oliver "What's wrong with him?" Oliver said "They don't know. But they're working on it!"

I think they just did this to frustrate & confuse Oliver more. When Lisa would reference the names , he's like, what are you talking about ? Same with everyone but Oliver being able to understand Arnold. They should call him tough luck Oliver. I just saw the episode with the jewelry in the Crickly Wickly cereal. Everyone who opened a box got a piece of expensive jewelry, but Oliver just got a baseball card. Poor guy ! He was also the only one who didn't find a red ear of corn to kiss Lisa at the barn dance.

...on the plot, LISA is the only one who notices this {"You forgot the 'directed by'!"}, confusing Oliver even more. Obviously, Lisa knows MORE about "where" she's living in, but never lets on!

There was an episode that opened with Mr. Ziffel noticing the credits. Someone spoke up and Ziffel hushed them, saying something like "ain't nobody gonna listen to us with those credits rolling by"

Exactly. The whole point of the show was to drive the only sane person in Hooterville insane. |
