I like it a lot... but there's two things that annoy me BIG time.
The President's name is TEDDY ROOSEVELT Bridges. Please come up with something more creative. Second... flashback to 2 1/2 years ago(around the time the Iraq war started) mentions WMD-gate. Please check your timeline. As a history freak, I cannot stand that. |

I agree, pretty good. Sutherland's character, wow. Evil!
As far as ratings go, I'm predicting huge numbers for this. For this week I predict in order: Commander in Chief, House, Amazing Race, Earl/Office. Very tough hour, but I think all will do decent (except The Office). After this week, I still have my bets on House for the season. |

Legal may have dipped, but I still expect it to be 2nd. Better than 3rd place like shows in that slot did last season. CBS has no chance at 10pm. |

[QUOTE=pavanbadal]I agree, pretty good. Sutherland's character, wow. Evil!
QUOTE] I just saw it, and think it has a lot of potential. Donald Sutherland is a great actor, and as the primary antagonist will be one of the strengths of the show. Geena Davis worked well, too, and the interactions with Kyle Secor as her husband, and the rest of her family, should be very interesting. One negative: Geena Davis' speechmaking. Maybe it's because of too many years of listening to Martin Sheen's character on West Wing, or maybe because WW's writers are better, but I thought the speech segment was the weakest of the show. It was a good start though, and they should have plenty of time to improve the speeches. I'll watch again, and recommend Commander-In-Chief to anyone who likes dramas. |

Saw episode 2, too. Loved it. I'll be watching this series for sure now. Ratings were on par from last week and higher in 18-49. It looks to be a hit!

I've only seen the second ep (kicking myself for missing the first). I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Can't wait to see how far they take it!

I think a full season order for this show will come very soon. They have just picked up Steven Bochco for an exec. producer!
Steven Bochco is joining ABC’s Commander in Chief as an executive producer as part of his new deal with Disney’s Touchstone Television. According to sources, series creator Rod Lurie will focus on new projects for Touchstone while maintaining an executive producer title on Chief. Sources also said Lurie's producing partner Marc Frydman, also an executive producer, is expected to remain with the show in some capacity. The Geena Davis drama about a female president of the United States has been one of the most successful new shows this fall, garnering a 4.8/12 in the demo in its second airing on Tuesday, a 12% jump from its premiere. With more than 30 years in the TV industry, Bochco has collected 10 Emmy Awards—six for Hill Street Blues and three for L.A. Law. The NYPD Blue creator also co-created and executive produced Hooperman, Doogie Howser, M.D., Cop Rock, Murder One, Total Security, Brooklyn South, City of Angels and Philly, and served as executive producer on Civil Wars and The Byrds of Paradise. Bochco’s latest series and first cable venture, the military drama, Over There, now airs on FX. Bochco was previously at Paramount Network Television since January 2000, after leaving 20th Century Fox Television. |
