Question Any Sit Com with a history lesson?

Hey gang,
I teach US history and I am looking for any sit com that has had a "historical" basis to it. It can be about any subject in US history. I know that some sit coms will have a "story back in time" and i desparately need one for my class.

THANKS in advance for your insight and help.

Not a sitcom, but there was a "tweens" show in the mid-90s called A.J.'s Time Travelers that had an interesting way of telling stories of historical events. That might be what you're looking for, though I don't know how you'll find it.

The short lived ABC sitcom "Best Of The West" had some references to the Civil War and frontier life.

Ditto with "F Troop."

Well, there is the obvious choice of M*A*S*H.

I Love Lucy had an episode where the four main characters spent 24 hours living in the 1800s (I think), where the women had to make their own butter and bread (from scratch); the men had to shave with straight edged razors and travel by horse; etc.

The Simpsons were the one that came to mind - the only one I can recall is about Homer and Marge as King Henry the 8th...do you recall any others???? I really need them to be about US History

Hogan's Heroes. Believe it or not, they often referred to actual WWII events. There's some episode that mentions the Manhattan Project...but I don't remember which episode.

there used to be a short-lived show in the 80s called "Voyagers" about a man and boy who would travel through time to various historical events.

Then there was also a short-lived show in the mid-60s called "The Time Tunnel" about 2 guys who were trapped in time and would travel to various periods, and sometimes historical incidents.

Oh, wait, you wanted sitcoms. SORRY!

Boy Meets World-"I Was a Teenage Spy"
Cory gets a shock when a microwave mishap transports him back to the 1950s, where his uncanny knowledge of Russian space experiments gets him mistaken for a spy.

Boy Meets World-"No Guts, No Cory"
The time ball swallowed by Salem the Cat from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch takes everyone back to the 1940s: Cory becomes a soldier fighting on the dangerous front lines in Europe, who wants his best buddy Shawn to marry his girl Topanga if he doesn't return.

Don't know if that's what you're looking for or not
