Seeing that he passed away today, I recalled this show of his that came on Saturday evenings in the 70's. It was a game show of sorts. 2 contestants had screen tests of the same scenario and one would win on their acting ability. They would win a chance at stardom plus other prizes.

I remember that show of his. It was really funny.

Gee, Maxwell Smart, Tenessee Tuxedo, Inspector Gadget....All the good guys are fading away.

Yeah, I watched it when it was originally on. Wasn't on too long though... 26 episodes, 1974-1975 (I looked it up in one of my TV books).

I don't remember that show, but wasn't he in a show called Check it out? I remember it on USA network in the mid80s, I don't know if that is where it originated from though.
