I know it is going to be hard to choose just one. But just pick one and one song only from these funk groups I am going to list. They don't have to be your favorite songs by these groups, just pick a song. Here are mine:
Isley Brothers: Fight The Power Ohio Players: Heaven Must Be Like This Kool & the Gang: Hollywood Swinging Parliament-Funkadelic: Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof Off the Sucker) Earth, Wind, and Fire: That's the Way Of the World Commodores: Brickhouse Slave: Just A Touch Of Love Cameo: Single Life Gap Band: Outstanding Con Funk Shun: Chase Me Zapp and Roger: Computer Love Bark-Kays: Freakshow On the Dance floor Feel free to add more bands and songs! |

It's so weird seeing Zapp featuring Roger on here I actually knew him when I was a kid. He had a house that we used to pass on the way home when we were kids. You always heard music coming from it, and he often came out and gave us sodas in bottles ( that was a big deal to me ). I didn't knwo then that he was actually a respected musician, he was just Mr.Troutman to us. He was a really a very nice down to earth guy who got a big kick out of us "ornery" kids. I was saddened to learn that he had died a few years back though.
