Hello
I am doing an essay on magic for university and have to teach in the essay a simple magic trick. The trick I want to use is the "guess a number" trick that Jack Cassidy does as The Great Santini in the Columbo episode "Now You See Him". I barely remember how it went and I can't find it listed anywhere on any of the magic sites, even Mark J Wilson's who was the magician they hired to do the tricks for Cassidy. Please please help me! If someone knows the trick, remembers the scene, or can even transcribe the "guess a number" trick scenes (the scene with the waiter and then the scene with Columbo). Or if someone can give me a link to the trick itself or a script or transcript of the show it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! lol Oh yes! Please email me if you know anything! |

From what I remember it was very simple. YOu find 4 items and put each number on an object. You remember what number is attached to what item. Then you say to your friend " I am thinking of a number. He says 3. You say look under the lamp. Under the lamp should be your 3. Whatever he says you tell him to pick up the object with that number. You can have 10 objects with the 1-10 objects. The hardest part for you will be remember what number is where.
