Thumbs up Scariest moments in your favorite horror movies?

Hey, guys....I was just wondering what everyones' top scary/creepiest/made you jump moments were in their favorite horror movies? Here are mine:

Evil Dead: When Ash's two friends turn in to zombies and he's fighting them off in the cabin. I guess because it's them against one person and he's totally isolated is what made me scared.

Halloween : Laurie is walking down the sidewalk and looks up to see Michael Myers waiting ahead by a bush. When she looks again, he's gone. Classic!

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: I've only seen the recent version, so I've got to say when they first arrive at that creepy house. I just knew it was all downhill from there...

IT : This movie wasn't so much scary as unbelievably creepy! Every time Pennywise would appear to those kids in all these different forms, I'd get such chills! I always get creeped out when the book they are reading comes to life and the clown starts threatening them for within the pages.

Sleepaway Camp: Outright gore doesn't usually SCARE me but this movie had major creep factor. I'll just say the ending, when you discover who Angela REALLY is, frightens me more than any bloody scene in this film.

What are yours?

A Nightmare on Elm Street- when Johnny Depp gets pulled into his bed by Freddy Krueger and erupts into a geyser of blood and viscera...

The Exorcist- The scene, which was cut out of the original film, when Regan comes down the stairs backwards, on all fours and spews blood from her mouth...

Dressed to Kill- Angie Dickinson getting sliced and diced in the elevator by a cross-dressing psychopath with a straight-razor after cheating on her husband with a stranger she meets at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with a venereal disease...

Carrie---Sissy Spacek going postal on a gym-filled with her enemies after being doused in pig's blood... (They're all going to laugh at you...

The Ring---Evil ghost Samara coming out of the television screen to kill Naomi Watts ex-boyfriend...

Halloween- After Donald Pleasance shoots Michael Meyers and he falls out the window to the hard ground below, Laurie asks "Was that the boogeyman?". He responds "Yes, I believe it was..." and looks out the window to see he is not there, as Laurie begins to sob...

Last House on the Left- Let's just say, the entire movie is and I won't be watching it again... ever!!!

Last House on the Left:I heard that was a bad movie ( bad as in extremely gory and disturbing).

The Exorcist:
Yeah, I forgot about that one! I swear to god, I had nightmares due to that scene. I heard it was cut out of the original 70's version cause it was too scary for viewers?

The Last House on the Left isn't a bad movie, the vilonce is just really, really realistic and there is a whole lot of it. And it is VERY disturbing. But it isn't a bad movie in the same way as the 1980 movie Maniac is, which was just a exscue to be really, really gross.

DRESSED TO KILL (1980)-The scene in which Kate Miller (Angie Dickinson) is slashed to death in a hotel elevator is still truly terrifying even though I have seen this movie more times then I can count.

SISTERS (1973)-The entire dream sequence towards the end of the film is untra creepy.

WATCHER IN THE WOODS (1980)-The scene where Jan (Lynn-Holly Johnson) walks into one of those mirrored fun houses and all her images are replaced by those of a girl who vanished 30 years ago is really terrifying.

THE FOG (1979)-The end sequence in the church.

CAPE FEAR (1991)-When child rapist and murderer Max Cady (Robert De Niro) comes on to young Danny (Juliette Lewis) in the high school basement gives me the creeps.

Hmm, I haven't really seen a lot of really scary movies. But I was 11 or 12 when I saw Jeepers Creepers and I was a wimp back then so every little thing scared me! And there were so many scenes in that movie that freaked me out. Like when the dead creature thing was trying to bite the dead guys tongue off. Or when he broke into the jail house and turned the power off and ate one of the prison mates or members, whatever you call them.

And I was 9 or 10 when I saw The Sixth Sence...again...I was a wimp...it scared the crap out of me. But I saw it again a few months ago and it's one of the best movies I've ever seen! I didn't think it was scary at all!

As for The Exorcist...the whole movie!

THE AUDITION

I cannot do justice to describe this movie. It is considered thee most brutal horror movie with some of the most brutal things ever filmed. here is a link because I cannot begin to describe it:

Oh No

I've heard so many things about The Audition that I am too afraid to actually watch it... Too much gory violence for my tastes...

The Fog- when Adrienne Barbeau climbs on top of the lighthouse, as the vengeful sailors try to kill her with hooks and chains...

Prince of Darkness- at the end of the film, when there is actual videotape of the Devil himself, grainy, dark and menacing, as he steps outside of a darkened church archway to destroy the world...

The Shining- As poor Shelley Duvall screams and cowers, Jack Nicholson takes insanity to a new level by hacking away at the door with an ax...I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down...

The Birds-As Tippi Hendren smokes a cigarette on a school bench outside and schoolchildren are singing happily inside, a small gathering of menacing birds grows into a flock of winged killers...

Poltergeist- Just when you thought it was all safe, JoBeth Williams is attacked by the demonic forces, pulled up to the ceiling and thrashed about, before running outside and falling into the hole being dug for a pool, where coffins start popping up, and their corpses jumping out after her...

Jurassic Park- The electric fence has been turned off and the electric-run jeeps are stopped outside the T-rex paddocks in a pouring downfall of rain. The two kids are inside the jeep with the annoying lawyer, the boy notices the glass of water on the dashboard vibrating. Then, the goat’s leg lands on the roof and all hell breaks loose…

The Thing- Kurt Russell is testing everybody’s blood to see who is infected with the alien virus. Everyone else is tied up. He takes a sample of each one’s blood and puts an electrical current onto the Petri dish. He gets to the one pompous guy, cuts his finger to get some blood and then touches it with the electrical current… insanity ensues, as the guy turns into a melting, grotesque monster, as the other men, who are tied to their chairs, scream and shout…

A Nightmare on Elm Street- Nancy’s friend Tina wakes up in the middle of the night to the sound of pebbles hitting her bedroom window. She goes outside to investigate, naturally, and encounters Freddy Krueger in the alley. His arms are twelve-feet long and his finger-knives are scraping against the metal of the garage, forming sparks. Tina begins to run, but Freddy yells at her to stop and tells her to watch, as he chops off one of his fingers, with nasty ooze gushing out. She runs to the door, but Freddy tackles her. Cut to her bedroom, where Tina is thrashing about wildly on the bed. Her boyfriend wakes up, tears off the covers and sees as Tina’s stomach is slashed in five streaks and blood begins to pour out. She falls out of the bed and is pulled up the wall by an invisible force, and then onto the ceiling, as she continues to scream in agony, her boyfriend watching helplessly…

That was terrifying! I remember seeing that in the movie theatre as a kid when it first came out and it actually made me think dinosaurs would come back on Earth
