Default Trying to help my mom with trivia question!!

The shows, Laverne and Shirley and Happy Days, shared the character Carmine Ragusa or "The Big Ragu". What two activities was the Big Ragu known for in the City of Milwaukee?

Thanks so much!!!

well, he was the Golden Gloves champion, so boxing, and as the owner of his own dance studio I would say dancing (he fancied himself a singer too, but I don't know how well known he was for it)

I was surprised to Hear Carmine went to Highschool with Potsie. I thought the Carmine character was a lot older than Potsie, Richie, and Ralph. Espcially since he hung with Fonzie

Who said Carmine went to school with Potsie??

I always figured that Fonzie may have attended Fillmore High (prior to dropping out, of course, later to graduate Jefferson High with Ritchie, Potsie, and Ralph) with Carmine, Laverne, and Shirley.

Carmine only appeared in two Happy Days eps, "Fonzie's Funeral" and "Shotgun Wedding".

On a episode of L&S, can't remember which one, Carmine said he went to Highschool With Potsie Webber.

Retro,

I think you are referring to the episode where Laverne and Shirley (long since graduating Fillmore High with Carmine) are trying to use Ritchie and Potsie (current Jefferson High students) to win a dance contest at Jefferson High so that they can win a new TV. Carmine was MC-ing the dance.

Sorry, Retro. Carmine never said that he went to high school with Potsie. Rewatch the ep the next time it's on, or get a copy of the Columbia House video tape on Ebay.

YES HE DID, because I posted a Thread about it after I watched the episode. I don't know if the Thread is on The L&S Board or the Happy Days Board. I will look for it. I wouldn't be making this up.

Ok I found it, it was posted on the happy days board in 2004 and it's in the L&S episode-"Excuse Me, May i Cut In" and Carmine said that him and Potsie were in some of the same classes together. So there, what do you have to say now????????????????????

Retro,

As our little discussion has proved, not everything posted on a board is reliable information, LOL! It's not a big deal. I just hope we haven't scared away the person who asked the trivia question that sparked this difference of opinion.

Carmine was also in the episode "Joanie's Weird Boyfriend"
that's the episode where Joanie wants to join The Red Devils.
Carmine was in the gym scene where he pops out from under the bleachers.

Maybe Carmine and Postie were in the same dance class together or Potsie took a class that was taught by Carmine.

Carmine, Laverne and Shirley graduated from Fillmore High in 1956.
Richie, Ralph and Potsie graduated from Jefferson High in the late 50's, early 60's
