characters called the Jimmy Walker character JAMES instead of J.J during season 5?

I added girlfriend because when i date a women i never tell them to call me by their nickname. I always tell them my real name

I can see his girlfriends and his co-workers calling him that. Since sometimes when you meet people they'll tell you to call them by a certain name. But the boss calling you by your nickname is going a little too far. When I'm at work my co-workers call me Brie because that's what I told them to call me, but my boss call me Brieanna.

I remember that white guy who offered J.J the advertising Job at the end of season 4 and was calling him J.J instead of Mr. Evans
