Default Carl & James...in the afterlife...

do you think James and Carl would have met up in heaven and if so what kind of conversation do you imagine them having? i know, crazy crap question, just being different. LOL

Well since Carl didn't believe in God, I doubt that he went to heaven. So I guess they didn't meet up with each other to have a talk.

Come to think of it, did James ever say that he was a believer in God??? At least I don't recall. I mean he said a lot of those "...yes laud's." But did we ever know if his character was a real believer?

I know he was happy with "Black Jesus" and when his friend Sam the con artist came to town, he really didn't denounce the fact that he was using God in his schemes just that he was crooked or not honest.

Just a thought to go with Irene's question.

I can't remember which, but James did pray to God in at least one episode, so he must have believed in God.

I love your honesty, yes it's a crazy crap question, but that's what makes you so cool, you being different.

Plus it's a hard question. Let me see....Good point from Bri, Carl might not have made it to heaven. If he did, I can see them hanging out talking about how good of a woman Flo was. You know, Carl wasn't a bad guy, I don't think James would have anything against Carl. And Carl did own his own fix it shop which james tried to do too, so they had that in common.

Jrnygrl made a good point too. I can't recall James ever proclaiming his love for the Lord outright either. I'm sure he believe, but it wasn't shown like Florida's was.

In The Mural James did talk to God asking why he was feeling the way he was feeling. So yes James did believe in God.

i had been sick all day yesterday and glad to be on the boards. it's true Carl didn't believe in God and James never went to church, except when he got married. Thanx Craftman for the opinion that i had a cool crazy question. Just thinking, when one has had more than one spouse in a lifetime, due to death of course, i always wonder what it must be like for them in the afterlife. True, Carl may not have to gone to heaven, but do you think James would have??? If he didn't do you think they both met "elsewhere"? LOL

Uh, we don't know if Carl died or not. At best, he's in limbo. Probably still waiting for Florida to come back.
