TV Land Hiatus Starting Nov. 6; Coming to Nick@Nite again Starting Nov. 1! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The reason for Three's Company going on "hiatus" is because of contract issues. So, while the show is one of TV Land's biggest hits ratings wise, they will let it sit for a while and refuel up so you can continue to watch it soon. It is not on the November and December regular schedule, but it will air on special airings such as Thanksgiving (Retrospective episode) and Christmas (Christmas episode, obviously). No set date for its return has been given. So be patient and watch until Nov. 4 on TV Land and on your DVD players.
So, do not get upset at TV Land for taking it off "for no reason" because they had an actual good reason and they promise to bring it back because it is a ratings success. Remember when it aired on Nick@Nite it was asked for more airings because of the bombs of Wings and Coach. So, if anything bombs on TV Land, TC will indeed be back sooner than expected, but again it will be back in the future!

- To Three's Company fans: Three's Company is off of TV Land for now after the November 4 airing, so we will see Three's Company at 11 p.m. on both networks on Nov 1, 2 & 3. Three's Company is going on hiatus from TV Land because of contract airplays per episode issue. Nick@Nite and TV Land use the same contract, so you may ask why is Nick@Nite airing it then? Well, the show will air 4 days a week instead of the 7 TV Land aired, so that will help a lot for the contract issue. And you won't see all the episodes in order, expect some skipping of episodes--so do NOT complain. So, why is it on Nick@Nite? I believe ratings is an issue and maybe Nick@Nite needed a little bump and this show has rescued them in the past such as when Coach and Wings instantly bombed in primetime. We can expect this schedule to last in November and December. No word yet on how long it will last, but expect it through December! It looks like a temporary schedule to me.

The encore airings do not count in the airplays. If it airs at 11pm and encores at 2am, that counts as one only.

It means it's gonna be temporarly taken off the air but it will be back on soon.Has anyone else notcied that these things happen during the time that they are gonna show the episodes with Terri in them and not during the time that the episodes with Chrissy are airing?I and probably the rest of the people who have seasons 1-4 on DVD wouldn't care if they had this or anything close to this happen during those episodes because we can watch them whenever we like

I told the people in one of the threads in the General Sitcoms Question & Discussion forum who said that "shows that have the whole series on DVD shouldn't air on TV LAND" that some people don't have the shows on DVD

The only thing on the brightside is that us with DVDs will have 1-5.When it was taken off the air last time,we only had season 1 on DVD.At least most of us will have 1-5 on DVD.In the words of The Killers,(singing)"I'm Mr.Brightside"

i need it to be on at 9:30 every night (10 is when i have to go to bed). it was on at 9:30 one night and it was awesome because i could stsy up and watch it with out sneaking (like last night) hehe. PLEASE OH PLEASE BE ON AT 9:30!

Actually,I wouldn't want that to happen.I usually just miss 2/7 episodes a week because of College.If it were on at 9:30,I would miss 3/7 because of other shows I watch at that time
