the Buffy/Freaks and Geeks connection

this is a real oddity, I read about this earlier.

Tonight, both How I Met Your Mother and Kitchen Confidential are premiering, same time even. Both shows are going to star both one alum from Buffy The Vampire Slayer (Alyson Hannigan on Mother and Nicholas Brendon on Kitchen) and one Freaks And Geeks alum (Jason Segel on Mother and John Francis Daley on Kitchen). It's kinda funny yet odd because I don't think you can find two shows from the past decade that were bigger cult shows (X-Files premiered in 93 so it's over a decade old), and two new shows competing at the same timeslot are going to be using alum from both shows to lure in audiences.
