Just wondering what your thoughts are on "Beaver Tempest" on Guilty or Innocent?
For those that might not know, he has been convicted of the murder of Doreen Picard who was brutally beaten in her basement on February 19th 1982. "Beaver" was convicted 10 years after the murder mostly by circumstantial evidence and unreliable witness testimony. Some of which have since re-canted their statements. His brother who was a police detective and was also convicted of covering up the evidence in "Beaver's" case. I would say in his innocent on the evidence presented on Guilty or Innocent except the situation about how the murder weapon, a leadpipe, was found 4 days after the murder where the crime-scene had thoroughly been investigated. The pipe also happen to be found by Beaver's brother. I couldn't see a motive for Beaver to commit this crime other than those unreliable witnesses reckon he was just crazy. This case is one of my favourites. It seems on this show (GOI) that the police zero in on one suspect to the exclusion of all others. It also seems the police don't follow-up all leads no matter how big or small. In this case, there was a man seen fleeing the crime-scene and two other heavier-built men possibly connected to the crime as was the build of the perpetrator discribed by Susan Laferte (the survivor of the attack). Anyways, I'm rambling now so whatya think?? |

This case is interesting since unsolved mysteries never questioned his guilt. He never had a final appeal segment. I think he's guilty. The little girl identified him as the intruder. I could be wrong though.
