It has been reported that John Larroquette will appear in two episodes of the NBC show "Joey." The first of his first two episodes will air on September 29th.
I personally can't believe that such a class actor like John Larroquette is going to appear on such a poorly constructed, humorless show. I watched it twice and was bored out of my mind. Needlees to say, I never watched another one after that. I will probably watch these two episodes of the new season only though because of John. |

John might make the show worth watching, actually.
There hasn't been anything I've seen him in yet that hasn't made me laugh. |

Oh, I don't doubt that John will be good. I love watching him as McBride on the Hallmark channel. John Larroquette is a fine actor and fun to watch. But I have a feeling after his two appearances on "Joey", that the show itself still won't be that good. John, I think, will give it a boost though.

I'm looking foreward to the McBride movies. When I can free up some space on the TiVO, I'll start saving them.

They're fun movies to watch, and John is so good in them. You won't be disappointed.

Okay, I watched "Joey" and my feelings didn't change. John pretty much wasted his talent on the horrible writing for this sitcom. I tried to keep an open mind. But when an accomplished actor like John Larroquette is struggling to make his part make sense due to poor writing, it makes one shake his/her head in shame. John did the best he could but they didn't give him much to play with. Tis' a pity to waste such a fine actor!

I think he held it together pretty well and it was the best episode of Joey I've seen. Hell, it's one of the only episodes I've seen.
From the discriptions I've been looking at, it doesn't seem like he'll be in the episode 'Joey and the Stuntman', but I'll still TiVO just in case. If not, I'll keep checking to see when he'll be back. You're right, NitCrt1, he's too classy by far for the show. He even outclassed Matt LaBlanc. What was with him wearing the gangsta jacket, though!?! Geez! |

FYI... JL's second Joey episode is on this week...
"JOEY AND THE ESL" Thursday, 10-20-2005 at 8pm I just hope this episode is more worthy of John's talents then the first episode was. |
