I used the search tool and didn't come up with any luck. What was the name of the girl murdered and found 20 miles from her car. Two cops were involved that both had conflicting stories. The police were also investigating a guy that showed up on the crime scene who was a police impersonator. After all this, they found the DNA of a black guy who was convicted of the murder. I wanted to research this further because UM had all these different scenarios and then this random guy shows up in the update. I watched it on 9-15-05 at 1pm. I figure there might be some more info on the internet somewhere. Thanks for any help.

I thought it was Amy Willard. I may be wrong though.

It sounds to me like the Aimee Willard case. It was a Pennsylvania case, and the murder occured in June of 1996. It was unsolved for over a year, until Arthur Bomar was linked to the case via DNA. He is now on death row for Aimee's murder.
If this is the case you're referring to, you should have no trouble finding info on the case through search engines (Google, ask.com, etc.). Just make certain that the names are spelled correctly when you type them in. |

I should have added that there is a web site dedicated to Aimee Willard.
www.aimeewillard.com In addition to UM, the Aimee Willard murder has been presented on Cold Case Files and Forensic Files (in the episodes "Bump In The Night" and "Telltale Tracks", respectively). |
