Default Need Help Regarding this trader

Over a month ago I received an e-mail from this guy named Jim. E-Mails he uses are piperspost@webtv.net or quinncy407@aol.com He had a very rare show for $40 and I went ahead with the trade. It's been over a month now and all I've gotten are excuses. For the past 2 weeks it's been I'll send this week and then his family(2 members) supposedly got sick. I understand life happens but I am afraid I am now out my $40 and my tape. It was a 2 hour tape and he can't get it done! What do I do?

I'm also waiting on a tape from Jim. But since I only sent my side on Sept 6, my tape isn't overdue, yet. He did agree at the time, that he could get it to me on or before Sept 20. I will say, before sending, that I'd checked him out here & the only complaint I've found is about his prices. I didn't see anyone who said they never received from him & people stated what they received from him was hard to find & the quality was good. So hopefully, he's not blowing smoke & his family will recover & you & I will receive our tapes.

Actually, now that I recall, I think there may have been mention of slow delivery...do a forum search on his email addresses & you'll find the postings.

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience, that's why i told him he must send me my stuff first and i almost passed out at my mailbox when he actually sent the package. But he has a very bad rep and i hate to hear when someone is waiting for a show and won;t get it. I know that can be a very annoying feeling as a Tv fan

I think gilliganfanatic or gilliganfan waited over 3 months. i don;t know if the member ever received their tape

I am sure you will get your stuff, but the wait is usually long.

I ordered some things from him in January and I just recieved them two weeks ago. It was only 3 tapes, but it took nearly 8 months. By then, I got the same shows from someone else. I wish I received some sort of update, but I got nothing. I was SO mad! I had ordered from him a few years back, and did not have to wait long at all. I knew he wasn't a scammer, but people should never have to wait months for stuff.

He's not a bad trader, but I think he should tell people that it will take months for their stuff to arrive.

I got two very rare pilots from him. The first time I had to wait about 2 1/2 months, the second time he sent it in about 3 weeks.
He is very slow, but it was worth waiting.

Well, I received my tape by 9/20, but it did not include the specific episode I was looking for. Since the episode title was included in not only the subject line, but referred to in the body of the email, this was clearly a mistake on Jim's part. He says no one has this episode, so we will see what he does to make this right...
