Hello!
I am new to this forum -- and I am really enjoying it so far! I was 10 years old when I first started watching Moonlighting -- and with the new DVDs, it has made me realize how much I love the show. There is one episode I particularly remember where David pretends he is showering with another woman, in order to break off his relationship with a girlfriend. Does anyone know which episode this was in? Thanks for your help! |

Hi ML fan and welcome
I believe the ep you're thinking of is the final show, Lunar Eclipse. Kara Oh, and the "girlfriend" was Annie. YUCK! Sorry, I don't like her

Erase that scene from my head.
Let's make a promise never to refer to it again.

By the way, welcome to the site MLFan.
It's just that some of us (not all) hate the Annie episodes, and we usually don't refer to them much. And some of us (me ) don't like any scenes in which David is not 100% true blue to Maddie. They make my skin crawl.

Thanks everyone! I was too young to remember the character Annie. But if David had even the slightest feeling for anyone but Maddie, I wouldn't want to think of it either!
The other scene I remember so clearly as a kid was in Blonde on Blonde, where David, after chasing Maddie all night, and ending up beaten and in jail, appears at Maddie's house in the rain, only to have Sam open the door. "Maddie, I know it's 3 'oclock in the morning..." By the way, I never realized how stunning Cybill Shepherd was until I got my DVDs. |

Yup. She's "the most drop dead gorgeous broad I've ever seen in my real life", to steal one of my favorite lines from Moonlighting.

And the filters they used were totally unnecessary, and made her look strange. The filters actually took me away from the scene sometimes. WHY DID THEY USE THEM?
She looked superb in outside light with nothing but her beauty and the camera. That woman blows my mind 'cuz she is so beautiful. |

Kismet,
In what episode did David call Maddie "The most gorgeous broad..." As you can tell, I'm a bit of an amateur

It's just an 80's thing they also used filters a lot on Dynasty and Dallas.
And NO Cyb really didn't need them, allthough in the daylight you could really see how tired she was sometimes......but at least that's a natural look |

I think Glenn said in one of the special features that Cybill chose to have the filter - something to do with the age difference and her not wanting to look like his mother. I totally agree that she didn't need it. I am constantly amazed by how beautiful she is. I read a review once where the reviewer said that, before Moonlighting, all he knew about Cybill Shepherd was that she was so beautiful, she made his teeth ache. That is exactly how I feel about her. The more I see of her, the more beautiful she gets, epecially with the beautiful pictures the wonderful people on this site post (and the amazing pictures you post in the Cybill site). She was beautiful when she was younger but she is at her most beautiful in Moonlighting - well, in my opion, anyway. She just lights up the screen. This might seem a strange thing to say, but the only other person I have felt this way about was Princess Diana. Does anyone understand what I mean? I also thought she was too beautiful to be true and just looking at her tugged at my heart. Do I sound crazy? Anyway, I just had to say how beautiful I think she is.
