Eddie's Funeral - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Last night, I was watching the episode where Eddie dies and Carla finds out about his other wife at the funeral. I've seen this episode numerous times but it only now occured to me -- who made the funeral arrangments?

Think about it. The funeral is in Boston, so you'd assume Carla made the arrangments (as the other wife traveled from the Midwest to get there). But then how did the other wife (Gloria) end up in Boston without knowing anything? Didn't she think it was odd that her husband's funeral was arranged without her input, and in another part of the country??

Good Question!!! Hmmmmmm....and wouldn't his death be announced in the papers mentioning his wife CARLA? Hmmmm...what else could we question??

And where were Eddie's parents, or family for that matter? You always notice on sitcoms for marriages/funerals only the principle cast is there, no mother or father at their own child's funeral or wedding.

Eddie's ummm....perhaps it was arranged by the ice show??

i had thought of that scenario too, but then Gloria would have questioned why didn't the ice show ask her for her input. No one makes funeral arrangements but the family or next of kin. Lots of paperwork to be signed, $$$$ has to be paid. Yeah, that sitcom world tends to show just the immediate cast, no family. lol
