Superstar DISASTER!

The much hyped fan event called "Superstar Saturday" is now being called a "Superstar Disaster" by many GL fans that attended. Reportedly, the event, which took place on Saturday, September 10, was horribly mismanaged. Many fans, who made the trek to Paramount's Kings Dominion in Richmond, Virginia -- to see a paltry 11 castmembers -- found it wasn't worth their time, money or high gas prices.

Several fans are posting on message boards around the net that they had to spend as much as four hours in line under a hot, summer sun and they never got to see the actors. The long lines were made worse by the fact that there was absolutely no crowd control. Fans were cutting ahead and the press set up an impenetrable blockade around the actors the fans were waiting to see.

After spending hours in the never-moving lines, fans were told that they "could not be accomodated" and were handed pre-signed photos of the actors in attendance. Many fans are complaining that they never got within shouting distance of the actors they traveled miles and miles to see.

The karaoke event, which should have been fun, quickly turned chaotic. Actors participating in the event were instructed to sing into a camera and turn their backs to half of the fans in attendance. Some fans were wondering why Laura Wright (Cassie) was not in attendance. The actress, who announced her departure from the show on Thursday, did not attend and is not planning to attend the GLFC Luncheon in October. Wright, who has been cast as the new Carly on General Hospital might be under contractual obligations that prohibit her from promoting GL.

Fans wondering why only 11 castmembers were in attendance at Superstar Saturday should know that only 12 actors were "invited" to the event. Several cast members are puzzled as to why they were not asked to attend.

Some people like me who came in late. Not much late, we got there 3 mins after it started and turned away. Telling us that we couldn't come in and handed pre-printed pictures of the stars.
