Default HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN ARCHIE KISSED THAT OTHER WOMAN?

That episode was very daring, this was dealing with real-life, something that many, many spouses have dealt with within their own marriage. It was downright cheating and it really infuriated me when Archie was soooo nice to that blonde knowing full well he liked the attention he was getting and he could possibly get something out of that situation. He should never have let that situation get to the point of even getting her phone number. It really hurt me when I seen how Edith was so hurt.

I think Archie enjoyed the attention he was getting from the waitress and wasn;t used to it which is why he went as far as he did. It was wrong though. Also when a man is not used to getting attention from a pretty woman at all, they probably wouldn;t know how to act if they were getting attention which was the case with Archie

You know Soloman, even though it can hurt to hear a man say what you just said, it is the truth. The thing that bothers me though is that Edith didn't treat Archie like crap. He treated HER like crap. Maybe if he wasn't so damn harsh he could see that Edith was a loving wife. How many times did we see Edith trying to be compassionate (in her own way) and Archie pushed her aside? I do see your male point of view though Soloman.

Are you talking about the episode where Archie goes to the waitress house when Edith was working over time at the Sunshine Home?

Yes. That's when Archie feels I guess neglected or something.

Oh yeah that was cheating for sure. He shouldn't have went over to her house in the first place. I can see her giving him her phone number since some women do that. But he should have never called her and he crossed the line when he actually went over to her house.

I felt bad for Edith in that episode.I thought Edith let him off the hook too good. There seems like there was another episode in which he was close to cheating, I can't remember it. But it involved another lady or it might have been the same lady. It's been a long time since I've seen it!

Yep, as long as the intention was in his mind and in his heart, it's cheating. If someone comes on to you like that and you are married, the decent thing to do is tell them you are married and love your spouse so much you wouldn't want to hurt them. Edith did let him off easy, way to easy. But that was Edith.

Archie got plenty of attention from Edith. Everytime he walked through the door, there was Edith running up to him and giving him kisses.

True so very true. She was a very loving wife, if only he wasn't such an A$$. He pushed her around. He used that damn excuse abt her being with the old folks too much at that old folks home. Didn't it dawn on him that she is bored at home? Or that Edith found an outside interest (just like Archie did with that witch!)? Edith needed more to her life than being Archie's "verbal" punching bag. How dare he do that to her.
I agree with Retro's point of view as well. If a man comes home and the wife is bitching and nagging him; (BTW it works both ways, woman coming home and the man bitches and nags) spouses need affection and attention in more ways than one. They also need their "alone" time, even if it's just watching television, reading the paper, taking a nap. My boyfriend takes our son either all day Saturday or Sunday so that I can "relax" and do whatever I want, whether it's going with friends, my sister, go shopping, be on the computer.
Archie was WRONG NO MATTER WHAT.

I knew that's what u meant Retro, but regardless, Archie getting attention from any attractive female gives him no reason to do what he did in accepting her number. He should have given it back to her with his reminding her he is married.
BTW, I can't recall, did SHE KNOW Archie was married?
I hate when women know a man is married (and vice versa) but they still persist. If a person DOESN'T know one is married, than it falls on the married person's shoulders to say "Hey, I am married." I had to do that on too many occasions when I was married to my first husband. I would get guys who would flirt with me and sometimes even though I told them I was married, some didn't even care!!! It's my responsibility to say to them BACK OFF!!
Archie's responsibility was to say BACK OFF!! He doesn't have to be rude but sometimes if the person won't let up, you have to do what u have to do.
